The College of Engineering Attingal has been one of the most significant and transformative experiences of my life. Located in a prominent town, it holds the distinction of being the IHRD institution closest to both the state capital and Technopark — Kerala’s premier IT hub. The college’s consistent academic excellence, coupled with ample opportunities for industry interaction, provided an ideal environment for professional growth. The placement cell was highly effective, and approximately 60% of students from the 2007–2011batch secured placements through campus recruitment. I was fortunate to be recruited by my current employer through this process, and I have continued with the same organization for the past 14 years.I remain deeply grateful to this institution for laying the foundation of my professional journey andilluminating the path to a fulfilling career.

Being part of the first Computer Science and Engineering batch at College of Engineering, Attingal was a journey filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable memories. Those four years gave me not only knowledge but also lifelong friendships — not just with my classmates, but with many faculties and juniors who became like family. Watching the college grow from its early days and being an active alumni executive member since the beginning is a privilege I cherish deeply. It's more than a college — it's a bond that continues to grow stronger with time.

Without any second thought I would say , College of Engineering ( CEAL ) played the most crucial role in building and guiding me on building a skill set and mindset to embark on an entrepreneurial journey . I believe my role as an active member in the Career Guidance & Placement Unit ( CGPU ) helped me 360° to envision with confidence .Beyond technical know-how, CEAL instilled in me the importance of collaboration, resilience, and community impact—principles that guide every project I undertake. Also the 4 years of Life at college , was a memorable chapter in my life , of which several pages are still close to my heart. The selfless guidance of all mentors , faculty enriched my courage to seek out new challenges . Also grateful to have been on the  founding team of “Voila” , and still be part of the journey .As I look ahead, I’m excited to deepen my involvement with this vibrant community, mentor the next generation of innovators, and explore new opportunities to give back.

I still remember my first day vividly — arriving with my parents, surrounded by unfamiliar faces, a new place, and an unknown accommodation. It was tough at first, staying away from home, adjusting to a completely new environment. But slowly, I adapted to this new life. And now, not a day goes by without me wishing to go back to college. I miss everything about it — the campus, the late-night chats, the food we shared, the silly fights, the unforgettable celebrations, and most of all, the friendships that became family.

College of Engineering, Attingal

I strongly believe that life’s path is not always clear when you start, but experience brings that clarity you need to choose your direction. Looking back, my journey at the College of Engineering Attingal (CEAL) was more than just academic — it was transformative. I still remember the day I arrived at CEAL, uncertain about what I wanted to do next in life. Of course I was searching for something, but the 4 years in CEAL helped me discover the next phase of my life. The faculties were the quiet architects of our futures, building not just knowledge, but belief in who we could become. Then the exam wasn’t just a test of knowledge, but a mirror, revealing how I handle stress, how I prepare for uncertainty, and how I rise after falling short. The college friends are the bonds you build with whom you dont just share notes and late-night study sessions, but  grew together, stumbling through the same lessons, carrying each other forward when motivation ran thin. Behind every competition we took part in, there was an unwavering support system — the college administration, quietly standing behind us, ensuring we had everything we needed to represent CEAL with pride. Finally being part of the Career Guidance and Placement Unit was more than a role — it was a mission. Leading the team, with the support of my peers, taught me that leadership isn’t about control, but about creating space for others to grow. In organizing placement drives, I learned not just to manage time and resources, but to inspire and be inspired. I secured a placement with Mphasis, where I worked as a Software Engineer for four years. After that, I relocated outside of India to pursue my Master's degree. Upon completing my studies, I joined my current employer, Philips.

To all the students walking the halls today — seize every opportunity with open arms, challenge your limits, and trust the journey you’re on. Be relentless in your pursuit of knowledge and experience, for every failure is a step toward growth. Cultivate connections, build your network, and understand the power of financial literacy — it’s an investment in both your future and your potential. Remember, the journey is just as important as the destination.
